For several reasons, men’s testosterone levels are lower today than they have been historically. In other words, a healthy 40-year-old man today does in fact have lower testosterone levels than a 40-year-old man would have had just 20 years ago.
The reasons are multi-fold. Our food quality has diminished, our exercise amounts and capacity have decreased, the amount of time sitting in front of a screen has increased, our body fat percentage has increased. Any one of these factors will lead to diminishing testosterone levels in an otherwise healthy man.
At first, symptoms of lower testosterone levels may just be something like lack of motivation, poor sleep or lower energy levels. Eventually, other symptoms will occur. For example, decreased libido, decreased or lack of gains in the gym, a decrease in endurance, poor mood, depression, less vigorous erections. All of these could indicate a lower than optimal testosterone level.
Even one of those symptoms could be devastating to personal and family life. Fortunately, there is a solution to the issue and that is beginning a medically supervised regimen to increase a man’s testosterone, based on extensive blood work and a physical exam.
When you begin a protocol with us, the very first thing we will do is draw blood and have a lab analyze about 70 different things. Once the report is in hand you will sit down with us, privately, and discuss every line of the report, in your terms, not in some crazy medical jargon.
If in fact you are a good candidate and you decide this is what is best for you, your family, your lifestyle we can begin your medically supervised protocol immediately.
