Menopause & Perimenopause Care

"Your Labs Are Normal"
Is Not an Answer.

Perimenopause and menopause are measurable, and they are treatable. Bioidentical estradiol, progesterone, and low-dose testosterone — prescribed from a full panel and adjusted from follow-up labs.

What You May Be Experiencing

The Symptoms Are Real.
So Is the Cause.

Most women are handed an antidepressant or told this is simply what forty-five looks like. Often the driver is hormonal, and when it is corrected properly, the symptoms go with it.

Perimenopause — often the forties
  • Cycles becoming irregular, heavier, or closer together
  • Sleep breaking up in the early hours
  • New anxiety or a shorter fuse than you recognise
  • Brain fog and word-finding trouble
  • Weight settling around the midsection
  • Night sweats before hot flashes ever start
Menopause and beyond
  • Hot flashes and night sweats
  • Persistent insomnia
  • Low libido and reduced sensation
  • Joint aches and stiffness
  • Skin and hair changes
  • Fatigue that sleep does not fix
What We Prescribe

Bioidentical, Compounded,
and Matched to Your Labs

Bioidentical hormones are molecularly identical to the ones your body makes. Every dose here is compounded by a licensed pharmacy to the level your panel calls for — not picked off a standard-strength shelf.

Estradiol (E2)
Topical & transdermal only

The most active form of estrogen, and the one that drives hot flashes, sleep disruption, bone loss, and vaginal atrophy when it falls. Dr. Paul prescribes estradiol by topical and transdermal routes only — absorbed through the skin rather than taken by mouth.

Progesterone
Balance, sleep & protection

Bioidentical progesterone balances estrogen, and many women notice the sleep benefit first. It is essential for women who still have a uterus and useful for a great many who do not.

Testosterone
Libido, energy & strength

Women produce testosterone too, and low levels show up as flat libido, fatigue, and difficulty holding muscle. A small, carefully dosed amount often makes the largest single difference.

DHEA
Adrenal precursor

A precursor to both estrogen and testosterone that declines sharply with age and sustained stress. Addressed when the panel shows it is low.

Thyroid
Overlaps almost every symptom

Fatigue, weight change, cold intolerance, and brain fog are as easily thyroid as they are estrogen. Your panel includes TSH, free T3, free T4, and reverse T3. More on thyroid care →

Follow-Up Labs
6–8 weeks, then ongoing

Hormones move. Repeat labs confirm where your levels actually landed and the protocol is adjusted from there — which is the part that separates therapy from a prescription.

Important: hormone therapy is not right for everyone. The evaluation is designed to identify who will benefit and to screen for contraindications, and Dr. Paul will tell you plainly if he does not think it is the answer for you.

What is the difference between perimenopause and menopause?

Perimenopause is the transition. Hormones fluctuate, cycles become irregular, and symptoms often begin while periods are still happening — commonly starting in the forties and lasting several years. Menopause is the point at which twelve consecutive months have passed without a period. Treatment is guided by your labs and symptoms, not by your age.

How is estrogen prescribed here?

By topical and transdermal routes only — absorbed through the skin rather than taken by mouth. Dr. Paul does not use oral estrogen.

Can I do this from outside Florida?

Not by telehealth. Hormone therapy, including women's hormone care, is available by telehealth to Florida residents only. Patients from any state are welcome in person at our Oakland Park clinic in Fort Lauderdale. Non-controlled peptides remain available nationwide.

Do I have to do bloodwork first?

Yes, without exception. Nothing is prescribed before Dr. Paul has seen a full panel and reviewed it with you.
