Menopause & Perimenopause Care
in Fort Lauderdale
Hot flashes, wrecked sleep, brain fog — and a stack of “normal” labs that do not explain any of it. That is the most common story we hear from women in perimenopause and menopause. Care here is labs-first. Florida telehealth. In-person in Oakland Park.
This article is educational. Start care on Women's BHRT. The menopause guide maps midlife symptoms and the labs-first process.
Perimenopause vs Menopause
Perimenopause is the transition. Cycles may still happen. Symptoms can start while hormones are shifting month to month. Menopause is classically twelve months without a period. The evaluation does not change: consult first, then a comprehensive panel, then a protocol only if you are a candidate.
You do not have to wait until periods stop to ask whether hormones are part of the picture. You also do not have to accept “this is just aging” as the last word.
Symptoms We Hear Most
These are the clusters we see most:
- Hot flashes and night sweats
- Sleep that does not restore you
- Irregular or heavy periods in the transition
- Vaginal dryness
- Mood changes and brain fog
- Lower libido
- Joint and muscle aches
- Midsection weight change and persistent fatigue
Those labels are a map, not a diagnosis. Thyroid overlap is common — see when “normal” thyroid labs aren’t the whole picture.
A free 15-minute consult is the starting point. Labs first. Call (954) 982-8378.

A TSH-only printout or a single estradiol number inside a wide reference range can still miss the story. Juvenis starts with a 70+ factor panel — the same labs-first draw used on TRT and BHRT. Sex hormones, thyroid markers (TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3), and metabolic markers sit on one picture.
Being “in range” is not the same as being optimized for how you feel. We do not invent cutoffs in a blog post. Dr. Paul reads the full panel with your history.
Labs-First BHRT
Bioidentical hormone replacement means the molecule matches what the body already makes. Doses are built from labs — not a template. Estrogen is topical and transdermal only — typically Bi-Est, not estradiol as the usual prescription — plus bioidentical progesterone for all women in this conversation (bone, mood, and sleep, not only endometrial protection). Testosterone for women is added when labs call for it. See bioidentical hormones for women and testosterone for women.
The published panel price is $100 to $345. Follow-up labs are typically at 6–8 weeks. We do not list therapy prices here.
